Covid-19 Information

During the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping visitors to our museum and archives safe and healthy is our highest priority.

Safety Measures

Museum Covid Policies

  • If you are coughing, sneezing, have a fever or feel unwell, please stay home and visit us when you are feeling better. If you have already purchased tickets, we are happy to issue you a refund.

  • All staff and volunteers have been vaccinated.

  • Masks must be worn at all times by all visitors ages two and older. The following do not meet our requirement for a face mask and are not permitted in its place: face shields, gaiters, bandanas, scarves, ski masks, balaclavas or masks with an exhalation valve.

  • Please follow social-distancing guidelines and signage, maintaining a six-foot distance from others in the galleries.

  • Hand-sanitizer dispenser stations are readily available for patron use.

  • We are unable to store personal belongings, so we suggest keeping those to a minimum.

  • No food or drinks are permitted in the museum.

  • High-touch, interactive components to exhibits are currently not available. Some of this content can be viewed online.

  • Please remember to keep moving through the galleries and avoid gathering or lingering in one area — transmission risks (including asymptomatic transmission) increase with prolonged exposure within an enclosed space.

  • Visitors may temporarily remove their masks while eating and drinking.

  • Speakers at special events at the museum may temporarily remove their masks while addressing audiences
