Vision 2020 is the GLBT Historical Society’s Annual Fund. It sustains all of the activities required to accomplish our mission to collect, preserve, and make accessible to the public materials and knowledge that promote understand of LGBTQ history, culture, and arts in all their diversity.

Keep LGBTQ History Alive and DONATE

The time has come to establish a world-class New Museum of LGBTQ History and Culture in San Francisco. Our goal is to identify a site and launch a capital campaign by 2020, and we invite you to join us in making this dream a reality. Vision 2020 is our annual fund drive to help get us closer to the goal of breaking ground for the new museum.

Up to $50,000 in donations to the Vision 2020 campaign received by December 31, 2018 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by these generous donors: Emily Rosenberg & Darlene deManincor, Al Baum & Robert Holgate, Jason Tester & Sasha Aickin, the Bob Ross Foundation, and the Excelerate Foundation.

In addition to supporting our ongoing efforts to establish a New Museum of LGBTQ History and Culture, your contributions go directly to our many programmatic initiatives, including:

  • Developing exciting new exhibitions and events to engage and educate the public about queer history and culture;

  • Acquiring new archival collections and accessioning donations to the archives;

  • Supporting digitization work and conservation efforts to preserve fragile materials;

  • Enhancing our storage and conservation facilities;

  • Addressing the special conservation needs of the Arts & Artifacts Collection.

You can make a donation to the Annual Fund online.
