Hirschfeld Booklet by The GLBT History Museum in San Francisco

A concise overview of the work of Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld (1868–1935), pioneering sexologist, transgender advocate and co-founder of the world’s first homosexual emancipation organization. Written by Gerard Koskovich, curator of our 2016 exhibition on Hirschfeld, this eight-page booklet features a chronology of Hirschfeld’s life, a special focus on his 1931 visit to San Francisco and numerous historic illustrations. Each copy is signed by the curator and includes a copy of the exhibition postcard.
