What makes a neighborhood queer and how does it change over time? For “Places,” the exhibit accounts for costs and benefits in the fusion of commerce and community through which San Francisco’s GLBT people have made space for ourselves. Many neighborhoods have been vital to us. Here we focus on North Beach, the Castro, and the Valencia Corridor.
