Jamison Green (b. 1948, Oakland , CA ) is one of the founding leaders of the transgender movement. His prizewinning monograph, Becoming a Visible Man (Vanderbilt University Press, 2004), his many anthologized essays, and his international educational and policy work have had life-changing effect for many thousands of people. He holds an MFA in creative writing (University of Oregon, 1972), and his first book of short fiction (Eyes, 1976) is a valuable collector’s item.
