GLBT Historical Society Honors Adult Industry with
History of Porn Reception
SAN FRANCISCO —On Thursday, February 22, from 6:00-7:30 pm, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Historical Society presents “Erotic Legacies,” a special reception to honor the history of GLBT erotica. The event, being held just prior to the opening reception of the GayVN Awards, will feature a mini-exhibit of gay erotica gems from the GLBT Historical Society’s extensive collection as well as special porn-oriented tours of its world-renown archives.
“The GLBT Historical Society has collected and preserved an unparalleled archive of erotica that extends back to the early 20th century,” said GLBT Historical Society Executive Director Paul Boneberg. “We’re proud to showcase the important role that sexually provocative media has played in our community’s evolution.”
